Entry Fee
Each pool entry costs $5.00 Payment must be received in a timely manner or you may be disqualified unless previous arrangements have been made.

Deadline
The pool deadline is March 16, 2006. All entries must be received prior to this deadline or it will not be accepted. Please note that online entries must be received by this deadline in order to be accepted. Since there may be a delay between the time of online entry submission and the time it is received by the pool commissioner, it is strongly recommend that all online entries be submitted as early as possible.

Scoring
Play-in game: No points (not included in pool)
1st Round Games: 1 point each (32 total possible 1st Round points)
2nd Round Games: 2 point each (32 total possible 2nd Round points)
3rd Round Games: 4 point each (32 total possible 3rd Round points)
4th Round Games: 8 point each (32 total possible 4th Round points)
5th Round Games: 16 point each (32 total possible 5th Round points)
Final Game: 32 points

Additional Bonus Points:
3 point(s) for correctly picking all #8 vs #9 games
3 point(s) for correctly picking all #7 vs #10 games
3 point(s) for correctly picking all 1st round games in a region

The "Play-in" Game
The "Play-In" game will be played at 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday (2 days before the start of the 1st round). The winner of the "Play-In" game will advance as the 16 Seed in the 64 team tournament. In this pool, no points will be awarded for the "Play-In" game.

Tie-breaker
In case of a tie, a tie-breaker will be used to determine the winner. The tie-breaker used will be: The first tie-breaker will be picking the total points scored by both teams (combined) in the Championship game (including all overtime periods). If the tie is still not broken, the second tie-breaker will be the person who picked the most correct games in the entire tournament excluding the 'play-in' game. If the tie is still not broken, the third tie-breaker will be the person with the higher score without bonus points. If the tie is still not broken, the players will split the appropriate prize(s).

Entry Form Problems
The online entry form is not 100% compatible with all browsers and platforms. For the best results, please use the latest versions of either Netscape, Intenet Explorer or America Online to use the pool entry form. Support for other browsers and previous versions is not guaranteed.

Pool "Contact"
Your pool "Contact" is the person who told you about this pool. This is required because I may not personally know everyone who enters the pool and I need to know how to get in touch with everyone who enters the pool.

Scoring Errors
Please check your entry and verify that it is correct. Once the first tournament game has started (not including the "Play-in" game), your entry can not be changed. It is your responsibility to check pool scores carefully and report any error in calculation to me immediately. Errors in scoring can be corrected until 3 p.m. local time on the day after the Championship. The decision of the pool commissioner is final.
